June 7th Seminar:
Time: 9-11amLocation: Willow Oaks Country Club/Commonwealth Room
Topic: The process and benefits of obtaining your “Woman Owned Business” certification and how to leverage this with large corporations. Don’t confuse this with your SWaM certification (Commonwealth of Virginia contracts only).
Host: Sandra Eberhard, Executive Director of the WPEO-DC office will educate us on the process and benefits of becoming a certified woman owned business. WPEO is the certification organization for WBENC (Women’s Business Enterprise National Counsel, www.WBENC.org). If you want to have a distinct advantage and are interested in conducting business with large companies like Dominion Power, Altria, Mead West Vaco, Exxon Mobile, Capital One, etc. then you need to be at this workshop. A representative from Dominion will be present to explain the benefits of having your WBENC certification, as well as a company who has been certified and is currently gaining business as a direct result.
Bring your questions! We look forward to your participation.
Fee: $10
