We shall tap into the talent, knowledge and skill of the membership and through action, will make a difference in the community through group projects and valuable contributions. As a fulfillment of our Mission Statement, The Network of Enterprising Women makes a difference in our community by contributing time and financial resources to individuals and nonprofit groups in the Greater Richmond Area.  Recipients of N.E.W.'s philanthropic support include:

NEW is proud to be a part of The Women Build Program which empowers women to build Habitat for Humanity homes!


N.E.W. Past President Margaret Hill presented a check for $2,000 to Lisa Bedell, PR & Events Coordinator and Van Garber, Director of Development of the Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity. The money is tagged for the WomenBuild program, set for November 2008. Contact Margaret Hill for further information and to get involved with WomenBuild.

The Flagler Home at St. Joseph's Villa -- a residential and community-based program to help families successfully transition from homelessness to permanent housing; 

 

New Visions New Ventures -- to provide women with the knowledge, skills, resources and confidence necessary to achieve economic success and financial security through entrepreneurship, high-wage employment and/or asset building.

 

Safe Harbor -- a shelter for battered women and children;

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure -- an annual event that raises money for cancer research.
