Each spring, N.E.W. gives several $1,000 scholarships to female graduating seniors of area high schools (Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico, Hopewell, New Kent and Richmond).  An auction, held at each of our monthly luncheons, raises money for this endeavor.  The scholarships are presented to the young women at their schools' award ceremonies and they, along with their mothers, are invited to our July meeting.
